A Year of Painting the Land – Belfast Landscapes in Oil

Immersed in capturing the landscapes

Over the past year, I’ve been immersed in capturing the landscapes in and around Belfast—wild skies, shifting tides, and the textured rhythm of the land. Each painting is a response to place, weather, and memory—formed through layers of oil paint, field sketches, and quiet observation.

A time of growth

This past year has been a time of growth in my practice as an emerging artist. I’ve spent many hours working both outdoors and in the studio, building a body of work rooted in connection to nature and place. These pieces reflect not only what I saw but also what I felt—moments of stillness, energy, and change in the land.

Thank you to everyone who has supported, encouraged, and followed my work this year. I’m looking forward to what’s ahead and continuing to create work that speaks from the land and sea.
