Art walk in Belfast

Art walk at the greenhouse in Belfast

The falling season brings me to the greenhouse in Belfast. I discovered the place one more time and I saw it from a different angle than every time I am doing my art walk at the Botanic garden, At that time as well I fell in with the intense greenery and vibrant color of exotic plants selected and cultivated for two centuries. Is it inspirational and fascinating how the selection of plants from different origins complement each other and create harmony in composition, the body of art itself?  What inspired you when you visit the place, what are your feelings and thoughts just after enjoying the house? I will be honest with you, I almost feel like it is my home, a place where I feel safe not just from the often cold and windy days but even more, a safe room stranded by fellow “foregone” plans. It is a safe place to open my heart and listen to the stories from the past and present and whisper about the future. Great place to practice being grounded.

Past, present, and future in Belfast

The city garden n Belfast is a very important part of the Victorian past in Belfast. It definitely enhances the city and the public garden. The original plans for the garden were put forward in the 19th century even before technology allowed it to build off a curved iron construction which is so significant for the architecture of greenhouses today. From the first design to the current look, many improvements and individual creative thoughts enhance the building throw 150 years and add a unique look to the greenhouse. Carefully selected plants and local crafts add even more to the spirit of the place and make it unforgettable and allow us to discover something new every time I am visiting the place.
